Sue Bastone is Chair of Trustees for the School Library Association (SLA) and also delivers training and contribute articles and papers for professional publications. As Past Mistress of the Worshipful Company of Arbitrators she also works with Authors Aloud to deliver sponsored author visits to disadvantaged schools in London. She is a Fellow of CILIP and acts as a mentor for Accreditation and Chartership candidates.
Victoria Dilly is creator of the Book Activist blog. Victoria uses her wide-ranging experience gained from working as a school librarian for ten years and as a programme manager for the UK’s leading national literacy charity, to empower children and young people to discover a lifelong love of stories.
Layla Hudson is bookseller at Brixton’s inclusive children’s bookshop, Round Table Books and a writer and blogger about children’s books.
Muhammad Khan is an engineer, a secondary-school maths teacher, and a YA author! He takes his inspiration from the children he teaches, as well as his own upbringing as a British-born Pakistani. He lives in South London and has an MA in Creative Writing from St Mary’s. His debut novel I Am Thunder won the Branford Boase Award, the 2018 Great Reads Award and a number of regional awards. His second novel, Kick the Moon is out now.
Julia Eccleshare is the children’s director of the Hay Festival and head of Public Lending Right policy and advocacy and a regular contributor to Radio 4’s Front Row and Open Book programmes. Julia is the Chair of the Judging Panel.
