The 2022 Branford Boase Award Ceremony
We are very grateful to the Lovereading Lit Fest for supporting the ceremony for the 2022 Branford Boase Award and to Paul Blezard for hosting it. The complete ceremony, which is available here, includes: an introduction to each of the shortlisted authors and their books; the judges’ thoughts on the shortlist; reflections on the impact of winning the prize from previous winners including Meg Rosoff, Jenny Downham, and Struan Murray, winner of the 2021 BBA. Struan also announces the 2022 winners. The ceremony ends with the winning author and editor, Maisie Chan and Georgia Murray, discussing the editor/ author relationship.
