The Branford Boase Award recognises the role of the editor in nurturing new talent. Do use the space provided, if you wish, to highlight particular ways you and the author worked together on the manuscript and that helped them make the book the best it can be.
I confirm that this book is a first novel of 6,000 words or more written for children by this author, according to the criteria for the Award and have confirmed this with the author and editor. We agree that if this book is shortlisted, we shall be charged £250 for its inclusion.
